Abstract

Digital transformation has changed workplace demands, requiring employees to possess both psychological and digital competencies to maintain effective job performance. This study examines the relationship between emotional intelligence, digital literacy, and the performance of women working in the private sector, within the context of Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8), which promotes decent work and economic growth. The study focuses on emotional intelligence as an individual's ability to recognize and regulate emotions and digital literacy as the ability to use digital technologies and information effectively and responsibly. A quantitative approach was employed, using primary data collected through questionnaires from 125 women working in the private sector. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with Stata software. The results indicate that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant relationship with employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.1996164 and a p-value of 0.037. Digital literacy also demonstrates a positive and significant relationship with performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.4981474 and a p-value of less than 0.001. Furthermore, the overall regression model is statistically significant (Prob > F = 0.0000). These findings highlight the importance of developing emotional and digital competencies to support women's workplace performance. The study contributes to human resource management research and provides practical insights for organizations designing employee development programs. The findings are relevant to SDG 8, although the achievement of this goal was not directly measured.
