Abstract

The expansion of the digital economy means that students must be competent not only in conventional finance but also in digital financial services. This study investigates how Digital Financial Literacy and Financial Self-Efficacy affect students’ Economic Behaviour, with Economic Literacy serving as a mediating variable. This quantitative study surveyed 174 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, class of 2023. Data were gathered via a questionnaire and analysed using descriptive statistics and PLS-SEM in SmartPLS 4. The findings reveal that Digital Financial Literacy and Financial Self-Efficacy each have a positive and significant effect on both Economic Literacy and Economic Behaviour, and Economic Literacy positively affects Economic Behaviour. Economic Literacy also partially mediates the effect of both predictors on Economic Behaviour.
